Technical TroubleshootingWith specialist materials analysis facilities, information services and teams of experts in many material and engineering disciplines, we provide a unique troubleshooting capability for ceramic and related material manufacturing problems. Solutions to technical problems may arise from bulk material analysis techniques e.g. XRF or XRD, microstructure analysis or the measurement of physical properties e.g. particle size, surface area, thermal expansion, porosity or DTA. For many materials, surface properties are the controlling factor. The facilities of our subsidiary, CSMA provide a unique capability for solving surface related problems. Our Information Centre can also help to identify papers or standards documents to assist in finding a solution. Finding the appropriate solution also requires expert interpretation of analysis results coupled with detailed technical knowledge of industry sectors. We have experts spanning a wide range of technical fields including construction, refractories, technical ceramics, tabletop products, tiles and sanitaryware who use information and analysis results combined with their specialist knowledge to identify solutions. Through our consultancy services, we can investigate and resolve issues relating to delivery and efficiency e.g. factory management, control, organisation and layout and supply chain logistics. Once a solution has been identified, training is often necessary to ensure a long term benefit, which can be tailor made and delivered by our experts. Related Resources: |
