Structural Testing
Structural Testing is an integral part of the modern construction industry, whether
it be proving individual components or materials are fit for purpose or
load testing novel or existing structures.
Component or material testing can be to established standards or regimes
to demonstrate adequate performance or may be more bespoke for new products
during development or for certification prior to product launch. We have
a well equipped purpose built structural testing laboratory and are involved
with Standards and Certification bodies so can respond to customers needs
in a comprehensive way.
Full size structures may require testing in a design by test situation
or in the development of novel designs or to demonstrate that an existing
building can continue to meet modern standards possibly after a change
of use. Structures up to three stories high in all structural materials
can be tested in the laboratory under a wide variety of loading actions.
We are accredited by UKAS for a very large range of tests and can operate
to the same high standards in developing bespoke tests in the laboratory
or on site for example in listed buildings.
Whatever the circumstance our early involvement in projects invariably
leads to a highly tailored approach, interaction with the customer is
always encouraged and welcomed.
